Visit our sites Leper Chapel Help the Leper Chapel The Cambridge Leper Chapel is a wonderful building steeped in 900 years of history. It is much loved by everyone who visits. But like many ancient buildings, it needs constant repair and maintenance from specialist architects and craftsmen, which is expensive. We don't receive any regular funding for the care or repair of the Chapel from local or national government or other bodies. In 2018 we commissioned a building report which has recommended around £200,000 of repairs and conservation work to the building. We are trying to raise funds for these repairs and other necessary improvements (for example removing the modern step into the Chapel so that it can be wheelchair accessible).
