DESCRIPTION:Sun 12 July\, 10am-4pm. \nHave a go at scything and watch expe
 rts in action.\nScything is a traditional rural skill that was used to cut 
 hay. The skill is kept alive by enthusiasts and scything is still used to c
 ut hay in small or difficult locations where using a tractor isn’t possib
 le.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n🌾 Festival Programme 🌾\nJoin us for a day 
 packed with traditional countryside skills\, friendly competitions and fami
 ly activities!\n🕙 10:00am – 12:00pm🌿 Have-a-go Scything – one-to-
 one help from experienced mowers\n🕥 10:30am🚶 Grazing Walk – Wander 
 with a Warden\n🕚 11:00am🌼 Meadow Walk – Guided stroll with a botani
 st\n🕛 12:00pm – 1:00pm🎶 Live music from Button End Band\n🕐 1:00p
 m🏃 Hay Race\n🕜 1:30pm⚔️ Scythe vs Strimmer Race - return of the G
 rim Strimmer!\n🕑 2:00pm🏆 Competition!Can you mow 5m² the fastest and
  be crowned champion? Last year’s winner cut a plot 5m x 5m in under two 
 and a half minutes!\n🕒 3:00pm🤝 Team Relay Race\n🕓 4:00pm🏅 Prize
 -giving\n🌿 Throughout the day:\n\nGreen woodworking demonstrations with 
 Cambridge Bodgers\, making items from the wood that is a by-product from ou
 r Woodland Restoration Project\nTraditional craft demonstrations\nCraft act
 ivities in the stable rooms\nFarm machinery on display\nScythe shop\n\nWe'd
  love to see you there for a fun day celebrating traditional haymaking!
