 m of Hinxton Watermill\, a rare 17th-century working watermill nestled besi
 de the River Cam. Join our special Open Day and experience living heritage 
 brought to life by our volunteer guides\, who will share the mill’s remar
 kable history stretching back to the Domesday Book of 1086.\nAfter explorin
 g the mill\, take a gentle stroll to Hinxton Village Hall and enjoy a tradi
 tional fundraising tea. Homemade cakes and savouries — lovingly baked and
  served by the Hinxton Village Hall Committee — await you\, alongside a f
 riendly raffle to help us raise funds for the continued care of the mill.\n
 Bring the family: children can join the popular ‘Where’s Ratty?’ trai
 l for a prize\, and there are picnic spots and riverside walks to enjoy.\nT
 here are also walks along the river and picnic tables. \nThe watermill is 
 owned by local charity Cambridge Past Present & Future and run by dedicated
  volunteers. \nMembers free\, non-members £3 adult\, £1 per child. No ne
 ed to book. \nLast entry is 4.30pm
