DESCRIPTION:Sat 2 May\, 10am - 4pm\nWandlebury was once an important Iron 
 Age hillfort with a roundhouse village. There’s still a lot we don’t
  know about this period of our history\, and at other times\, but Cambridg
 e University’s Department of Archaeology and the Cambridge Archaeological
  Unit are carrying out some digs to find out more. They are very keen to sh
 are their work with you and this is a fantastic opportunity to learn abou
 t the Iron Age past and periods of history. \nFun for all the family inclu
 ding: \n\nExcavation site tours \n\n\nTalk to archaeologists from the Dep
 artment of Archaeology and the Cambridge Archaeological Unit \n\n\nTake pa
 rt in a variety of hands-on activities \n\n\nSee archaeological finds from
  Wandlebury up close \n\nTakes place at the Education Centre/Stables and
  directions to the dig sites will be provided from there. \nFree event\, s
