Your support helps to:

Champion responsible development – Representing local interest in planning decisions to ensure that new developments throughout Greater Cambridge are sustainable and environmentally responsible.

Inspire the next generation – Supporting our rich cultural and educational programmes, including welcoming over 2,000 local schoolchildren each year to learn about nature, conservation, and Iron Age history.

Keep nature and heritage open to all – ensuring our heritage buildings and green spaces remain freely accessible, safe, and enjoyable for visitors while providing healthy sanctuaries for wildlife.

Protect Cambridge’s heritage – Preserving some of the city and surrounding area’s rarest historic buildings, making them safe, accessible, and inspiring places to explore and marvel at our extraordinary human history.

Leave a Legacy

If you or a loved one have had a lifetime’s pleasure from places such as Wandlebury Country Park and Coton Country Reserve or our heritage sites, then a legacy gift is a great way of helping future generations to enjoy it too. Legacies large and small to enable us to:-

  • Care for places such as Wandlebury,
  • Create Coton Countryside Reserve
  • Provide learning and outreach
  • Look after the historic buildings in our care.

Leaving a legacy is often a lot simpler than you think

Because we are a charity your gift in a will is exempt from Inheritance Tax and you could reduce the amount of inheritance tax due on your estate by leaving us a legacy.

If you are thinking of leaving a legacy it would be best to speak to your solicitor. You can find a solicitor at www.lawsociety.org.uk. If you do decide to give a legacy it is helpful to include our charity number – 204121

There are a number of ways you can leave a legacy to us, it can be:

  • a specified amount of money
  • a percentage of your estate
  • specific items.

It may also take the form of

  • a donation in memory of a loved one
  • a gift instead of floral tributes at a funeral.
