Print at home and enjoy completing the trail with your family on your next visit, remember to bring a pencil or crayon with you.

School Holiday Ideas
If you are looking for places to take your young people Wandlebury, Hinxton, Barnwell meadows and Coton can offer the whole family enriching experiences outdoors and are open dawn til dusk, free of charge (NB a small parking fee at Wandlebury, free For CPPF members.) This summer, for the first time, a pop-up café will be onsite 7 days a week from 10-4pm at Wandlebury, with ice creams instead on Wednesdays from midday apart from 29 July and 24, 25, 29 & 30 August.
There’s of acres of woodlands, meadows and fields at Wandlebury and Coton with plenty of parking so bring a picnic and come and get stuck in:
- Spend an hour being creative in the two woodland den building areas at Wandlebury
- Spot dragonflies, newts, water boatmen and grass snakes on the wildlife ponds at Coton and Wandlebury
- Watch butterflies and bees feeding in the new pollinator garden and see birds and voles feeding in Banyard Wildlife Hide at Wandlebury
- Play hide and seek in the long grass
- Race each other round the Iron Age ring ditch at Wandlebury
- See the cows at Wandlebury – we now have a herd of belted galloways as well as highlands
- Play French cricket, football or rounders on games field at Wandlebury
- Challenge yourself with one of four walking routes at Coton Nature Reserve
- Find the Dinky Door at Wandlebury
- Book one of the two BBQ areas at Wandlebury or have a party and make it an occasion with friends
- Discover Wandlebury’s history from the Iron Age, the King’s racehorses, the lost gardens and finally….
- Peace and quiet – take a break and listen to bird song or the wind rustling the leaves. You can always find a quiet corner on one of the many benches around the park or reserve
