About the charity
Cambridge Past, Present & Future (CPPF) is a local charity that delivers outdoor education activities from its Education Centre at Wandlebury Country Park. The charity has run this successful programme since 2001 and works with around 1,600 school children each year, mainly of primary age.
The main areas of activity are science and nature, and Iron Age history. School sessions are delivered by CPPF Field Teachers, with delivery organised by an Education & Events Coordinator. Feedback from schools is very good.
The role
We are seeking to appoint a self-employed Education Advisor. The purpose of the role is to ensure that the charity has access to educational expertise in order to maintain quality standards and support the continuous development of the schools education programme.
Experience and background
We are looking for an Advisor who has been a primary school teacher, with good experience and understanding of the education system, and experience of outdoor learning. Experience of assessment and educational improvement would be beneficial. The Advisor should be willing to work with our charity over several years.
Key tasks and time commitment
One of the main requirements of the role is to assess the schools education programme and produce a report for the charity. If changes to the programme are required as a result of this assessment, the Advisor would be expected to assist the charity with this work.
A commitment of approximately 15 days work per annum is envisaged, with additional hours in 2026 for induction. The Advisor should also have the flexibility to carry out additional work if required.
How to apply
Please apply by 30 January 2026 to estatemanager@cambridgeppf.org. Applications should include a CV and a covering letter outlining relevant skills and experience, and why you are suitable for this role.
