Corporate Volunteering
Demonstrate your team’s commitment to Cambridge through hands-on conservation and heritage work, by becoming a corporate partner. Let’s make Cambridge greener – together.
Corporate Volunteering
Our Corporate Volunteering days are primarily for our corporate partners and designed to:
Build camaraderie and wellbeing through hands-on conservation
Develop new skills in ecology, heritage-site care and outdoor leadership
Demonstrate your CSR in action to clients, staff and stakeholders
Where:
- Outdoors in the beautiful surroundings of some of the places we care for, such as Wandlebury Country Park, Grantchester Meadows and Coton Countryside Reserve.
Dates:
- Monday to Friday. Most of our outdoor work takes place between September and March but we can also arrange some work during the summer.
Activities:
- In the woods: Tree-planting, hedge laying, orchard pruning and woodland restoration
- In the meadows: hay-making, controlling invasive species and pond vegetation
- On the estate: helping to maintain and improve visitor infrastructure so that green spaces can be enjoyed by the local community
- Event support (helping at one of our events or open-days – these are usually on weekends)
Group Size:
- Our volunteer work parties work best for groups of 10-35 people, but we can sometimes accommodate larger groups for certain tasks.
All provided for you:
- Tools, gloves/PPE, drinks/biscuits, full training, on-site insurance and expert supervision.
If you are only interested in a one-off corporate volunteering event then we sometimes have availability for these. At the moment we are fully booked until spring 2026.

I just wanted to say a big thank you from everyone here at Harness Therapeutics for such an enjoyable day yesterday. It was great to have lots of activities to get involved with and seeing many people’s skills develop over the day particularly with the wood chopping and dead hedge building. Thoroughly pleased to have contributed to the upkeep of such a beautiful place, just down the road from us. Hope to see you again next year.
