Creative workshop: With our wet & scaly hands & feet
Humans relating to rivers, estuaries and water, in Cambridge, the Fens, & beyond.
A session looking at objects from the museum that relate to water & our human history with this vital element. Led by ‘Rivers of Film’ curator/filmmaker James Murray-White, along with Alex Horn, the Museum’s engagement officer, we will create poems, stories, and drawings that reflect upon our past, present, and future changing relationship with water and rivers.
Please bring a sketchbook, a notebook, and something to write or draw with. We will have some paper, pencils and pens.
If returning for the evening session, participants will be encouraged to use the time between this and the evening session at 6:30pm to work on their creative response - perhaps sitting by or walking along the river - before returning for the evening session. Refreshments (and shelter from the weather!) are available nearby.

Accessibility guide for Museum of Cambridge
The Museum of Cambridge does not have a wheelchair accessible building. All visitors should be aware that our building is very old. Though full of character, it also has uneven floorboards, narrow staircases, and crooked doorways. There is a lift in the building if required.
If you have any questions about access to the space, support or companion tickets, please contact us by email events@watersencam.co.uk.
