Annual Village tea and a final 2026 Hinxton Watermill open day.
There’s one more chance to visit Hinxton Watermill this season, along with the hinxton annual village tea!
On Sunday 4 October, the Hinxton Village Hall Committee will serve homemade cakes, savouries and tea at the Village Hall. There’ll also be a raffle raising funds for the continued care of the watermill. It’s a lovely opportunity to spend an autumn afternoon in the village and support the people who help look after this special place.
Just a short walk away, Hinxton Watermill will be open from 2.30–5pm. Our volunteer guides will show you around the 17th-century working mill and share the story of a site where milling dates back to the Domesday Book. Children can take part in the ‘Where’s Ratty?’ trail, and there’s time for a riverside walk if you’d like to make an afternoon of it.
